uPVC Windows Ayr, Get A Quote

Getting new windows fitted in your Ayr home does not need to be complicated. Give us a call on 01292 843174 and we will have a friendly chat about what you are looking for, talk through the options, and get something booked in at a time that suits you. No pressure, no hard sell. Just a straightforward conversation.

A Free Survey At Your Home

Once you are ready to take the next step, we will come out to your property and take a proper look. Every window opening is measured accurately, because made to measure uPVC windows have to fit exactly right. A bad fit causes draughts, condensation problems, and can affect security, so we do not cut corners at this stage.

During the survey we will go through the style options with you, talk about which rooms need the most attention, and answer any questions you have. There is no obligation to go ahead after a survey. It is simply a chance for us to give you accurate information and a firm price.

Choosing The Right Windows For Your Home

uPVC windows come in more variety than most people expect. Casement windows are the most popular choice for homes across Ayr, opening outward on a side hinge and giving a clean, classic look. Tilt and turn windows are a practical option for upper floors, tilting inward at the top for ventilation or opening fully inward for easy cleaning. Sash windows suit older or period style properties where the original vertical sliding design needs to be kept in keeping with the character of the building.

On top of style, you can choose from a range of colours and finishes. White uPVC is the standard, but woodgrain foils in shades like rosewood and golden oak are popular if you want something a little warmer in appearance. Anthracite grey has become a common choice in recent years for a more contemporary finish. We will show you samples during your survey so you can see exactly what each option looks like before making a decision.

All of our windows are A rated for energy efficiency as standard. The double glazed units are filled with argon gas, which sits between the two panes and significantly reduces heat transfer. This means warmth stays in during winter, and your home stays cooler in summer. If you want to go further, we also offer triple glazed units, which add a third pane and provide even greater insulation, particularly useful in rooms that face north or are exposed to the elements.

Manufacturing And Lead Times

Once you confirm your order, your windows are manufactured to the exact measurements taken during the survey. uPVC frames are precision cut and welded at the corners to create a strong, rigid structure that will not warp or distort over time. The frames are guaranteed not to rot, peel, or require painting at any point, which makes them a genuinely low maintenance choice for any home.

Lead times vary depending on the specification you choose and how busy the order book is. We will give you a realistic timescale when you book, and we will keep you updated. Most standard uPVC window orders are ready to fit within a few weeks of confirmation.

What Happens On Fitting Day

Our fitting team will arrive at the agreed time and get straight to work. Your existing windows are removed carefully, and the new frames are installed one at a time so your home is never left fully exposed. Any gaps around the frame are properly sealed and finished, both inside and out, so there are no draughts or water ingress points once the job is done.

The time it takes depends on how many windows are being fitted. A single window can often be done in a morning. A full house of windows is typically completed within a day or two. We tidy up as we go and make sure everything is clean and secure before we leave. You will be shown how to operate any new hardware, including locks, handles, and any tilt and turn mechanisms.

All of our hardware is multi point locking as standard. This gives you solid security across the full height of the window, not just at a single central point. The glazing units are also internally glazed, meaning the beading that holds the glass in place sits on the inside of the frame. This removes the possibility of the glass being popped out from outside.

Aftercare And Your 10 Year Guarantee

Every uPVC window we supply and fit comes with a 10 year guarantee. This covers the frame, the glazing units, and the hardware. If anything goes wrong within that period, get in touch and we will sort it out. You do not need to chase or argue the point. A guarantee is only worth having if the company behind it actually stands by it.

Day to day, uPVC windows need very little from you. An occasional wipe down with a damp cloth keeps the frames looking clean. The hardware benefits from a light lubrication once a year to keep the moving parts operating smoothly. That is genuinely about all it takes to keep your windows in good condition for years.

If a sealed unit develops a fault, such as condensation forming between the panes, that is covered under the guarantee. Cloudy glass is not something you should have to put up with, and it is not something you will have to pay to fix.
